Our dog biscuit cutters are designed to imprint your cookies, BUT not all biscuit mixes are the same & some work better than others. I created a collection of homemade dog biscuit recipes to ensure our customers have the best experience baking for their pups, with our dog biscuit cutters.
Working with other recipes out there, I noticed some recipes are not ideal for our cutters. Some doughs puff up due to added baking powder or baking soda. Some doughs were too sticky, making it a difficult dough to stamp.
After realizing this, I decided to create a dog biscuit mix recipe that made it a breeze to create stamped dog biscuit treats at home. I also wanted to create a recipe that used minimal ingredients to keep things simple. A recipe that would not require you to run out to the store.
Our Peanut Butter & Honey Dog Biscuit Treat is one of our first few recipes I created. I knew I needed to add it to our shop's recipe blog, so you can easily find it when you're ready to use your Loki Doki Dog cookie cutters.
Be sure to save this for when you decide to bake!

Combine dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. Mix well with a whisk. Set dry ingredients to the side.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine all remaining wet ingredients. Mix well with a whisk.
Begin to slowly combine dry ingredients to wet ingredients with a large mixing spoon. When it begins to form into a ball of dough, knead dough with your hands as you add the remainder of the dry ingredients. You might not need to use all of the dry mix. You want the dough to no longer be sticky so it’s easy to stamp with your Loki Doki Dog Cutters, but also not too dense where it’s hard to knead the dough with your hands. Tip: when you begin to knead with your hands, dab the ball of dough into the flour mix as you knead. This method helps to prevent adding too much flour.
Roll out dough to ¼ inch to create the best looking treats when stamping out your dough with Loki Doki Dog Dog Biscuit cutters. This height will ensure you get the impression you do want. If the dough is rolled out too thick, you will get impressions you don’t want.
Set stamped cookies onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake in oven for approximately 20 minutes.
Recipe Note
Tip!
After 15 minutes of baking, check your dog biscuits to see if any cookies are puffing up. If any are, you can pierce the bottom of your cookies with a fork to deflate them and prevent any further puffing.
Important, Always Check Your Food Product's Ingredient List
Not all human-grade food products are made the same. Before making anything homemade for your pups, check over the food label to ensure they are no additives that are toxic for your dog to consume.
